Milo Strickland

Milo Strickland is a DC-based artist and designer with multiple invisible disabilities. They explore and celebrate their intersecting queer, trans, disabled, and neurodivergent identities through their artistic practice. You can see more of their work on Instagram, and you can learn about their accessibility-focused human centered design practice at curbcutdesign.studio.

"This sculpture is meant to be worn! The creator of this interactive sensory sculpture was inspired by Sky Cubacub, the founder of Rebirth Garments, and their queer crip manifesto for radical visibility. They were also inspired by the shape of their own ribcage, as this is one of the primary areas where the artist experiences chronic pain and mobility limitations. Though these aspects of their disabled experience are invisible to others, they profoundly impact their life."
