"15!"

It's Make Studio's phenomenal 15th birthday this February! As anniversaries go, the 15th may not seem as exciting as, say, the 10th or the 20th. However, even though it feels a bit "in-between" (and *still* awkward), we are just as fond of this anniversary as any other. If you know Make Studio, then you know we feel that each and every program year is valuable and worth celebrating!

Some things we have on our minds as we round out this 15th year:
* Special interests have been and always will be our specialty! (Gotta catch ‘em all!)
* How our artists, and our studio community, never stop growing and evolving!
* We’re definitely not the “new kid” anymore, but we promise we’ll never become stale or stuffy.

So it’s only fitting that, along with a gallery exhibition highlighting the latest & greatest works by the artists, a special feature of this “birthday show” is artist Chris Ferguson, Jr.’s tribute to Pokemon! In honor of Pokemon Day 2025, which commemorates 25 years of the global animation/toy/gaming phenomenon that a lot of us are fond of, Chris has co-curated an installation featuring Pokemon themed art by several artists along with interactive surprises.

Please join our community of artists, families, and friends during this phenomenally fun open gallery event. You are encouraged to bring Pokemon cards for trading (if you have them), to put on your favorite festive wear or cosplay attire, and come to share in the music, snacks, laughs, artist remarks, and birthday cake! Our 15th Anniversary Exhibition is open to the public during our weekly program hours or by appointment.
