SIGNS OF SUMMER
This event -- we're calling it a "mini festival" -- coincides with the BIG festival of HONFEST a few blocks away, and celebrates both our neighborhood and the "unveiling" of our new building signage.
We'll be offering hands-on art activities, including demos of traditional hand-lettering techniques, the opening of an exhibition featuring work by the participants of our recent workshops for young people, musical performances, and refreshments.
Drop by at your convenience and stay for as long as you'd like to join the fun! We're also pleased to partner with the Artscape Gallery Network, kicking off this year's season with a party at Fleckenstein Gallery next door from 5-8PM!
This event made possible by the MECU of Baltimore Neighborhood Events grants program, and the Hampden Community Council.

SAY WHAT!?
In recognition of Autism Acceptance and Awareness Month and National Poetry Month, Make Studio is pleased to present SAY What!?
Works featured in SAY What!? celebrate different forms of communication, and range from text-based artworks sprinkled with poetry, to chronological remembrances of celebrities’ famous roles. During the opening reception, poets and other wordsmiths from amongst the autism community will perform their written work. Through the exhibition and the evening of readings and performances, we will celebrate the many ways – visual, spoken, written, through movement – that our community communicates.
On view through the end of April, open to visitors during Make Studio’s weekday hours or by appointment.
