Michael joined Make Studio in 2016. Initially focused on creating sculptural objects out of recyclable containers and all sorts of tape usually brought in from home, he soon also became acquainted with watercolors and acrylics and quickly as comfortable with those materials as with colored pencils and markers.
Comfortable is also a good word to describe Michael’s use of technology: With a big iPhone, he keeps his entire family as well as his “studio soundtrack” at his fingertips, and the communal computer is a welcome tool for frequent image searches.
Michael now also likes variation when it comes to surface choices for his projects, be it wood, canvas or paper. His easy-going demeanor and curiosity will certainly yield more artistic innovations in the near future, and his general sense of humor is sure to bring him long-term fans of his art.
